The DTI Low Carbon Buildings Programme householder stream will re-launch on 29th May 2007.
What levels of grants will be available?
Stream 1- Individual householder & small businesses
Grant levels will be as follows and will be regularly reviewed as the market for each technology develops:

No monthly cap
Once the scheme re-opens for applications, household grants will be allocated on a first come first served basis as long as funds last.
There will be no further funds and no further measures to extend the scheme life.
£2,500 maximum limit on grants per household
There will be a £2,500 grant cap per household. Householders can still apply for more than one technology but the scope would be limited depending on technologies involved.
Shorter grant offer periods
Under the re-launched scheme grant offer periods will be as follows:
Solar thermal grant applications will be given 3 months to complete installations
Stream 1 - Community
Grants will be up to 50% of the capital and installation cost of the microgeneration technologies installed and is currently set at a maximum of £30,000. These grants will be awarded competitively.
