Water Components

Along with your collectors, you will need a fluid to transfer the heat from the collector to the cylinder.

The heat transfer fluid we use is Tyfocor GLS. It has excellent heat capacity and does not disintegrate into sludge.

Once the fluid is in the cylinder the heat is transferred to the water inside. Our cylinders are designed and manufactured individually to suit your home. They are lagged, contain two coils, sensor pockets and optional electric immersions.

In order to recognise when to start pumping the fluid from the panel to the cylinder (and back) the controller monitors the temperature of the panel and the cylinder – when the panel is hotter than the cylinder, the controller begins the cycle of pumping the fluid around the system!

Also available for customers plagued by limescale, we have a low power electronic limescale inhibitor. These simply wrap round the water pipes emitting a electronic charge which disassociates the limescale partcles.
